The Government’s Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules, 2026 have come into effect across the country from today. Under the new rules, gaming has been divided into three categories. E-sports includes professional and competitive gaming, games based on skill and strategy. Online Social Games include entertainment and learning and games that are generally considered safe. The third category is Online Money Games, which has been completely banned. A central authority has been given the authority to set the category of the game.
