New Delhi: Vaibhav Suryavanshi played an explosive inning of 94 runs in 29 balls in the final match against Sri Lanka A. Vaibhav also hit 10 fours and 8 sixes in this innings. When Vaibhav came on the field to bat, he got to play the last two balls of the first over, on which he opened his account with consecutive fours. After that, the sword fighting done by Vaibhav with the bat left Sri Lanka A bowlers badly shaken.
Batting in style, Vaibhav completed his fifty in just 11 balls. This is also the record of the fastest fifty ever in List A. Vaibhav’s destructive batting can be gauged from the fact that he hit 5 fours and 5 sixes to complete his fifty. Vaibhav dealt only with boundaries to complete his half-century.
Vaibhav did not take a single single in 64 runs
Priyansh Arya, who came to bat with Vaibhav, was only giving him strikes. This is the reason why Vaibhav did not take a single single in his first 64 runs. He scored all these runs with fours and sixes. Vaibhav’s 65th run came from a single. From this batting of Vaibhav, it can be estimated how dangerous those creases were.
