Comedian Praneet More and MBBS student Sejal Pawar appeared before the Maharashtra Cyber Cell on Wednesday in the standup comedy controversy case, where the statements of both were recorded. According to sources, cyber officials interrogated both of them for more than eight hours. The investigating agency has issued summons to both of them to appear again next week.

According to cyber cell sources, Praneet More told during interrogation that the video that went viral on social media was part of his comedy show, the recording of which was recorded about three months ago. Sources claim that during interrogation, Praneet More apologized several times and admitted that he had made a mistake. He told the officials that he had no idea that this matter would take such a big turn.

During the investigation, cyber officials also took Praneet More’s mobile phone for investigation and made it a part of the investigation by taking possession of many videos of his various comedy shows. At the same time, Sejal Pawar also reportedly admitted during interrogation that the language used during the program was inappropriate. According to sources, he expressed deep regret over this entire incident and said that he is extremely ashamed of what happened.
Maharashtra Cyber Cell has also extracted data from Sejal Pawar’s mobile phone and saved it for forensic investigation. Officials say that the investigation of the case is still going on and further action will be taken on the basis of digital evidence.
