Lucknow Super Giants, which set out to chase the target of 156 runs, did not have a good start. Mitchell Marsh was out after scoring only 2 runs. After this, Aiden Markram and captain Rishabh Pant made an important partnership of 57 runs for the second wicket. Markram scored 31 runs in 27 balls, while Pant contributed 42 runs in 38 balls. Pant hit 4 fours and one six in his innings. Nicholas Pooran’s poor form continued in this match also and he could score only 9 runs. Mukul Chaudhary became the victim of Anukul Roy after scoring just one run.

Ayush Badoni scored 24 runs in 19 balls with the help of 2 sixes. At the same time, George Linde became the victim of Vaibhav Arora after scoring 8 runs. LSG needed 17 runs to win in the last over and Himmat Singh and Mohammed Shami were present at the crease. Shami took one run on the first ball of the over. After this, KKR fast bowler Karthik Tyagi bowled the next two no-balls, on which Himmat was successful in scoring 6 runs.

However, on the third ball, Karthik ended Himmat Singh’s innings of 19 runs in 10 balls. Prince Yadav took one run on the fourth ball of the over, while the fifth ball was a dot. However, Shami hit a powerful six on the last ball of the over and tied the match and took it into the super over. Shami remained unbeaten after scoring 11 runs in 6 balls. In bowling, Varun Chakraborty and Vaibhav Arora took two wickets each for KKR.

In the last overs, Rinku Singh batted brilliantly and played an unbeaten inning of 83 runs in 51 balls. Rinku hit 7 fours and 5 sixes in this innings. Ramandeep Singh scored 6 runs. Rinku along with Sunil Narine (4 runs not out) added 62 runs in 30 balls for the eighth wicket. In bowling, Mohsin Khan from LSG took 5 wickets for 23 runs in 4 overs. Whereas, George Linde took one wicket.
