Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan made a record by scoring centuries

New Delhi: With the explosive century innings of Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan, India defeated Afghanistan by 170 runs in the second ODI. With this victory, Team India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. In the match, Indian captain Shubman Gill played a strong inning of 154 runs, while Ishan Kishan scored 125 runs. With this century, a great record was also registered in the names of Shubhman Gill and Ishan Kishan.

In fact, in ODI matches, he has become the first Indian batsman to score a century in a single match on 80 or less balls. Team India played its first ODI match against England on July 13, 1974 and since then has played 1077 ODIs, but on Wednesday it happened for the first time that in the same ODI, two Indian batsmen achieved the feat of scoring a century in 80 or less balls.

In how many balls did Ishaan-Shubman score centuries?

The second ODI match between India and Afghanistan was played at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. In the match, Team India batted first and scored a huge score of 402 runs in 49.2 overs. In response, Afghanistan team was limited to 232 runs in 44.3 overs. Captain Shubman Gill played an innings of 154 runs in 110 balls for the Indian team. In this innings he also hit 22 fours and 2 sixes. During this period, Shubman Gill had completed his century in just 77 balls.

Whereas, if we talk about Ishan Kishan, he scored 125 runs in 79 balls. In this innings, Ishan Kishan also hit 14 fours and 7 sixes. Batting at number 4, Ishaan completed his century in just 71 balls. In this way, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill became the first batsmen in the history of Indian ODI cricket to score centuries in the same match on 80 or less balls.
