In the 29th match of IPL 2026, Punjab Kings (PBKS) performed brilliantly and defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 54 runs. In this match, PBKS batsman Priyansh Arya’s performance was excellent and he played a explosive inning of 93 runs in 37 balls.
After the victory of Punjab Kings, Priyansh Arya said that he felt very happy to contribute with the bat after the powerplay. He said, “In this match after the powerplay, I contributed for the team and it was very special for me. I do not practice hitting sixes, but I try to hit the ball at the right time. Anand sir and Birla sir, who are our trainers, send us the schedule and I follow it. This helps me stay fit. I do not think too much in the middle of the field, because it keeps my mind calm. I shot a shot from above the point. Played; this is my favorite shot.”

Priyansh Arya batted brilliantly and hit 4 fours and 9 sixes in his innings of 93 runs. Along with Cooper Connolly, he made a brilliant partnership of 182 runs in 80 balls for the second wicket. Even though Priyansh missed his century, due to his excellent batting, Punjab Kings was successful in scoring the highest score of this season so far. The team scored 254 runs on the scoreboard after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Connolly also appeared to be in excellent form and played a strong inning of 87 runs in 46 balls.
Chasing the target of 255 runs, LSG team could score only 200 runs after losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Rishabh Pant batted brilliantly and played a brilliant inning of 43 runs in 23 balls, while Aiden Markram scored 42 runs in 22 balls. However, Pant and Markram could not convert the good start into a big innings. Mitchell Marsh also became the victim of Yuzvendra Chahal after scoring 40 runs in 28 balls.
