Royal Challengers Bangalore was playing at its home ground i.e. M Chinnaswamy Stadium. But despite playing on home ground, Delhi Capitals defeated them by 6 wickets. The RCB team had a chance to make its 100th match historic and memorable by winning its 100th match at the Chinnaswamy ground, but the team failed to do so. Know here on whom captain Rajat Patidar has put the blame for the defeat.
Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Rajat Patidar said in the post match presentation that his team should have scored 15-20 more runs. This is the same ground where Sunrisers Hyderabad had scored 287 runs in the 2024 season. Here the target of 186 runs has also been chased. In such a situation, it was a bit difficult for RCB to defend 175 runs. Captain Patidar also said that his team should have reached 190-195 runs.
Defeat blamed on batting
Rajat Patidar said that Virat Kohli and Phil Salt had given a good start to RCB by making an opening partnership of 52 runs. But after the 12th over, the team lost wickets at regular intervals, due to which the RCB team went on the backfoot. Captain Patidar said that he will correct his mistakes and return in the next matches.
