Sarfaraz, Rizvi surprised Gambhir’s fans, Virat Rohit’s name in the team of the first week of IPL, Indian players are dominating

New Delhi. Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 has proved to be complete value for money for the fans so far. The matches have been fierce not only in the stadium but also on the field. Leaving aside the absence of MS Dhoni, the tournament has kept the level of entertainment high in every aspect. On one hand, legends like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have shown their class by turning back the time, while on the other hand, the new generation i.e. ‘Gen Z’ players have also dominated the match.

On the basis of this performance, we have prepared the “Team of the Week” of IPL 2026 after 11 matches played from March 28 to April 5, in which the 12 best players so far have been included. While defending champions RCB started with an easy win against SRH, they maintained their dominance by defeating arch-rivals CSK over the weekend.

There cannot be a better name than this to start the tournament. Kohli gave the team a spectacular victory by scoring unbeaten 69 runs in 38 balls against SRH. After a little struggle in the beginning, he found his rhythm and showed why he is still considered the best. He also scored a useful 28 runs against CSK.

2. Rohit Sharma (MI)
113 runs Average: 56.5 | Strike Rate: 176.56
Along with Kohli, Rohit Sharma has also shone in this list. Against KKR, he scored 78 runs in 38 balls and gave a historic victory to Mumbai Indians. His strike rate in that match was 205.26. He played a useful inning of 35 runs against Delhi. Rohit can also captain this team.

3. Angkrish Raghuvanshi (KKR, Wicketkeeper)
103 runs Average: 51.5 | Strike Rate: 177.58
Raghuvanshi has performed brilliantly while playing the role of wicketkeeper in his first IPL season. He has two half-centuries in his name in two matches and he has proved to be the most reliable batsman for KKR.

4. Sameer Rizvi (DC)
160 runs Average: 160 | Strike Rate: 163.26
Sameer Rizvi, who was the best batsman till date, has topped the run chart by scoring 160 runs. Both innings have come under pressure. Against MI, he missed a century by scoring 90 runs in 51 balls, but performed brilliantly.

5. Nitish Kumar Reddy (SRH)
96 runs Strike Rate: 152.38 | 2 wickets
Reddy, who struggled last season, has emerged as the biggest positive story for SRH this time. He played consecutive innings of 39 and 56 runs and also became the player of the match by taking 2/17 in a match.

6. Sarfaraz Khan (CSK)

CSK may have bought him for Rs 75 lakh, but Sarfaraz has performed like a superstar. Batting in three different positions, he hit 16 fours and scored 50 runs in 25 balls against RCB.

7. Tim David (RCB)

Tim David batted stormily in the RCB vs CSK match. While scoring unbeaten 70 runs in 25 balls, he hit 8 sixes and took the team’s score to 250.

8. Harsh Dubey (SRH)
4 wickets Economy: 7.77
Harsh Dubey has quietly played an important role for SRH. While bowling in the powerplay, he took important wickets and gave strength to the team.

9. Ravi Bishnoi (RR)

Bishnoi has performed brilliantly while playing for Rajasthan Royals. He won the match against GT by taking four wickets and is currently in the race for the Purple Cap.

Vaishakh has performed well as an impact player. His bowling in the death overs has been special and he has taken 3 wickets in 16-20 overs.
